Gevurtz Menashe, P.C. is seeking a senior-level attorney to join our busy family law practice in Vancouver, WA. This is an opportunity to work with a collegial and dynamic team of attorneys who are leaders and innovators in the community.

We are recruiting attorney candidates with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Washington family law practice (preferably focused in Clark County), handling matters involving asset division, custody, spousal and child support, with adequate trial and mediation experience. Qualified applicants for this Senior Attorney/Of Counsel role should have a demonstrated history of managing an active caseload while mentoring and supervising others (staff or junior associate attorneys), and be actively engaged in the local legal community. We are looking for a professional with outstanding analytical ability, sound judgment and excellent communication skills.

Qualified candidates must be Washington State Bar members.

Associate Attorney - Family Law

Family Law Associate Attorney (Portland Office) 


Gevurtz Menashe, P.C. has an opening in its Portland Office for an associate attorney in family law. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Oregon family law practice, handling matters involving asset division, custody, spousal and child support with adequate trial and mediation experience.

Qualified candidates should have experience handling their own individual cases as well as providing support to senior attorneys in more complex cases. We are looking for a growth-minded professional with great communication, writing and research skills.

Qualified candidates must be Oregon Bar members. Washington Bar membership is a plus.

Office & Facilities Assistant

Gevurtz Menashe, P.C. is a premier family law and estate planning law firm that was founded on families and continues to provide solutions and support through life's most pivotal transitions. The individuals who choose to work at Gevurtz Menashe are a unique group of people— with a true passion for helping families work through difficult transitions with honor and integrity. We are seeking an Office & Facilities Assistant to join our team and provide general administrative and office assistance to the firm.

These responsibilities include:
  • Sending and receiving of mail (postage, collection, sorting, distribution, etc.); interoffice routing; emptying recycling and shredding bins;
  • Stocking of supply cabinets (coordinating ordering of needed supplies with the Office Services Director); refilling paper in copiers and fax machines;
  • Assist with copy/scanning projects as needed to support the legal and administrative operations of the firm;
  • Provide back-up front desk/reception coverage; setting-up for meetings;
  • Cleaning and tidying of work areas; loading and unloading of dishwasher(s) as needed throughout the day; and
  • Additional office support and errand duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have at least one year of prior experience in a professional services environment in a clerical or administrative support role, or in a customer-service/public facing position (with legal-specific experience preferred). 
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer service-oriented person with excellent time management and project planning skills.  Proficiency in email and business software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, is needed.

This position is non-exempt. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. On occasion, the Office & Facilities Assistant may need to work extra hours as necessary to accomplish assigned tasks and responsibilities.  Gevurtz Menashe offers competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.  Benefits include paid vacation and personal leave allowance, a comprehensive health care plan including dental coverage, and 401k retirement plan.

Client Services Coordinator

Gevurtz Menashe, PC is a premier family law and estate planning law firm that was founded on families and continues to provide solutions and support through life's most pivotal transitions.  The individuals who choose to work at Gevurtz Menashe are a unique group of people— with a true passion for helping families work through difficult transitions with honor and integrity. We need someone to be the first person to speak with potential clients and help them find the right attorney for their situation.

As Client Services Coordinator you will be the first point of contact at the Firm for a new Potential Client, match them to the Gevurtz Menashe attorney best suited to assist, schedule the initial consultations, and follow up on each appointment.  Your goal is to be a warm, professional, and courteous guide for our potential clients, while exercising a high level of confidentiality, discretion, judgment, and professionalism.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:
               
A minimum of two years of successful experience in a professional service or sales environment demonstrating effective communication skills is essential. We prefer a bachelor’s degree and experience in law, but it isn’t required.  We do want a candidate with excellent computer skills, working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe, and the desire to learn and use other firm technology systems.  In addition, we want a team member who:
  • Dedicated, committed team player, but with ability to work independently as well
  • Have ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment while you maintain a sense of calm. Many of our clients are in difficult situations and may be stressed and fearful.
  • Multi-task, good follow through, problem solve and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to assess PC’s sense of urgency, and maintain a sense of calm and control
  • Ability to juggle calls, be on the phone and at a desk and available for callers during regular hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Family Law Legal Assistant

Gevurtz Menashe, P.C. is a premier family law and estate planning law firm that was founded on families and continues to provide solutions and support through life's most pivotal transitions. We are seeking an experienced and motivated legal assistant to join our team of family law professionals in our Portland, Oregon office.

In this role, our legal assistants:  
  • Handle potential new client calls, including conflict checks and entry, and coordination for meetings and consultations
  • Prepare correspondence, including transcribing dictations
  • Prepare documents and forms and electronically file court documents; assist with case workflow, docketing and follow-ups
  • Coordinate document signings with our clients; and provide additional administrative and case support as needed. 
  • Client relationship management skills are a big plus, as we put our clients’ needs and experience first! 
Qualified candidates will have at least one year of prior legal assistant experience (with experience in family law being a great plus).  Proficiency in word processing, document, and calendar management software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is needed.
